  1. Dear Doctor Clark.
First of all, I hope I don’t irritate the management with these comments.
I’d like to comment on all the material that you have on this website. There is no website that I know of that has so much good information that, as far as I can tell is totally biblical and faithful to our confessions as reformed people. I listen to you every morning on my morning walks, and I read as much as I can. I’ll never read everything before I die, but I’m going to keep trying. However, I do have one negative comment. And maybe you can set me straight on this. I’m not sure that I understand the redeeming value of the sound effects, and what relevance they have to the reformed faith. Sometimes they seem to detract from your message.
But anyway, keep up the good work.
    Thanks again.

    • Hi Neil,

      Thanks for listening!

      Thanks for the encouragement.

The sound effects don’t have anything to do with the Reformed faith and neither does a podcast or theme music or microphones etc.

The question is, having decided to do a podcast, which is really derived from Radio, what is the nature of this enterprise? It is aural. Sound is of the essence.

I could be dull, but I try not to be and I don’t think dullness has anything to do with piety.

The question is whether it is permissible or of the nature of the medium to entertain. I think it is.

Part of what I’m trying to do is keep alive a form of Radio that I enjoyed, and that I think others might enjoy. If you don’t, I understand. Just ignore sound effects.
