We are continuing our series on the doctrine of God, I Am That I Am. This is part 14 of the series, which begins with Heidelcast episode 123. We could not be addressing a more timely topic: providence. Heidelberg Catechism 27 asks: “What do you understand by the providence of God?” and we answer, “The almighty, everywhere present power of God, whereby, as it were by His hand, He upholds heaven and earth with all creatures, and so governs them that herbs and grass, rain and drought, fruitful and barren years, meat and drink, health and sickness, riches and poverty, indeed, all things come not by chance, but by His Fatherly hand.” If we think about it a bit we realize that providence is always relevant but, of course, sinners that we be, we tend to think and talk about providence when things are hard. As I write, April 4, 2020, the world is in the midst of a pandemic. A virus is sweeping the globe and some people are in a panic. I hope that does not describe you but if it does, thinking about the Christian doctrine of providence will help.

Also you should get WhatsApp, I understand the states dont use it much but its the biggest text app in the rest of the world. Hook it to that number and you should get more international questions.
