On skipping college and becoming an electrician: Good luck trying that in Chicago, or probably in any place that the electrician’s unions are strong. In that situation it’s “who you know,” and you will not get in without a strong letter of recommendation from an insider.
Fair point, but this is a big country there are lots of places (right to work states) that need electricians.
Absolutely! It’s a good prospect in most of our nation. My comment came off more contrary than I intended.
