  1. Most interestingly, there is a glaring contradiction between the biblical piety that informs the sort of Reformed ‘denominating’ that confessionalists uphold, and the latitudinarian ersatz ecumenicism of “open communion” that Darryl recommends at the end.

    It is impossible to properly reconcile these two impulses. The latter is precisely what causes erosion of the first. Darryl indicates that he senses the contradiction, but hasn’t come to terms with it yet.
