  1. Just recently I’ve begun working with a guy who claims salvation and also claims to be RC. As we talked, the subject of salvation and what it means came up. I don’t put much faith in coincidences but this minicasts timing is superb. As I was talking with him, the points given were at the forefront of my mind. This is the beginning of a relationship that I truly hope could bring about authentic belief and true salvation. All glory to Him who saves to the uttermost.
Thanks again, Dr. Clark. Your work here on this site will pay dividends in the ends.
    Nick.

    • You might want to listen also to the Rome, Constantinople, & Geneva series. Upcoming: the Roman Catholic doctrine of salvation. According to Rome, apart from special revelation confirmed by the magisterium, he cannot (and may not) know that he is either saved or justified. If he wants to have assurance of his salvation he needs to join the confessional (Lutheran or Reformed) Protestants and since the Lutherans confess that grace is resistible, I should think the choice is relatively clear.

      • GM Dr. Clark, happy to say that I’ve digested all of the RC&G series so far, mostly on my slog through traffic on my way into Boston. I don’t have a lot of time with him (Heath) during the day, so what I say has to be delivered with care, “wise as serpents, harmless as doves.” There are times, I think, that certain people bring out a greater than normal sense of compassion from the believer as to the danger that they are in, they just don’t know it. He is one of them.
Thanks for these series, and the others, you don’t know how prescient they are.
        Nick
