  1. Such sad news…even as I’m reminded of the following passage: “…Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them” (Rev 14:13-14)!

  2. A resident of Mbakpase, Alice Terwase, told Morning Star News that the herdsmen who invaded her community were dressed in military camouflage and armed with AK-47 weapons.

This was not in Northern Nigeria, either, which is most heavily Muslim. The Muslims are clearly not content with the territory they have. Also, just about every gun is banned in Nigeria, so how did these guys get AKs? It seems that the government is turning a blind-eye to jihadist irregulars who choose to buy weapons. Would a Christian be jailed for being similarly armed?

This episode reminds me of when the House of Guise went around to Huguenot churches in the 1500s in France slaughtering them.

Christians in these areas are well-advised to have scouts, DIY radio nets, a palisade around their village, and guns if they can get them.
