Don Lemon v. God

Don Lemon: “God is not about hindering people or even judging people.”

God: “The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the LORD said, ‘I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them’” (Gen 6:5–7; ESV).

  1. Good illustration of our current culture and the radical individualism. Whereas we used to agree that truth is what corresponds to reality, it is now that which conforms to my feelings, and those that profess this now wield control of all the major institutions, from government to the academy. Judging by my own gut feelings, my thoughts are to fight or flee. Thankfully, my feelings don’t define truth. The truth is that I am an exile here, belonging to the embassy of God’s Kingdom, with the specific mission of rescuing God’s elect. And who would not suffer and even die for his brothers and sisters, of whom Don Lemon could be one? May the Lord open Don’s eyes.

  2. Oh, Auntie Em!!!! I am sooooo tired of this. And I know that it’s only going to get worse. The velocity seems to grow exponentially (sp.?, I’m too tired to go look it up) with every passing day. I’m 66 years old. I’ve seen alot. To my mind, the past twenty, fifteen, five years… have proven to be an ever increasing downward spiral. The Lord is sovereign. He knows the beginning from the end, and everything in between. That’s my anchor. He is steadfast and true.
Amen to Mike R’s. post. And thank you Dr. Clark.
    Come, Lord Jesus!

  3. Bless and thank you, Mike. “Thankfully, my feelings don’t define truth.” AMEN! Thus continues The Battle Of The F-Words (Faith vs feelings/fear)…

And yes, Roxanne: The amoral, dark nastiness and gagging of God/The Truth will continue to accelerate in this present evil age. I’m also 66 and for some time I hear myself saying again and again like my dear, late mother: “I never thought I’d live to see the day that —”

Let’s pray that “woke” will go broke; that those with Lemon-esque mindsets here and around the world will see the Light/hear the Truth; and that the worship and adulation of the twin gods of gargantuan government and genitalia will cease. (All D.V.)

“It is in the middle that human choices are made; the beginning and the end remain with God. The decrees of God are birth and death, and in between those limits man makes his own distress or joy.” –Oswald Chambers/The Shade Of His Hand

    • Laura,
LOL!! I can hear my mother saying either of these two phrases: “Well, I never in my life…” or “Well, don’t that take the rag off the bush!”.

  4. I would say that this is shocking, but then I will be saying a untruth, and would have to repent, .. What makes this and so many that are shown to all who may also share his warped understanding of the God of sacred scripture is the many who will run with this in the affirmative, only leading to their destruction, … he is not of course referring to the God of sacred scripture, but one of his own subjective imagination..
