New: Riddlebarger on 1Corinthians

Kim Riddlebarger has a new commentary on 1Corinthians forthcoming in the Lectio Continua series. He’s got the information on the RB.

The Lectio Continua series is a new exegetical, Reformed commentary, on Scripture, edited by Jon Payne, pastor of Grace PCA in the Atlanta metro. The series describes itself as “rigorously exegetical” and “God-centered” and “redemptive-historical” and “gospel-trumpteting” among other things. The set also promises pastoral application. That’s a great set of virtues for a set of commentaries.

Guy Waters, a sometime guest on Office Hours, a stout critic of the Federal Vision, a friend, and prof of NT at RTS/Jackson writes:

First Corinthians is a book that has long been neglected by Reformed commentators. That is why I am so glad that Kim Riddlebarger has provided the church with this exegetically-sensitive and doctrinally-sound exposition. Riddlebarger handles the letter’s difficult issues with care and pastoral sensitivity. In addition, he models for the Church what faithful exposition should be. This second installment in the Lectio Continua series is a welcome addition to any Christian’s shelf!
