What a fantastic program this was! I’ve listened to it three times and still am learning more. And thanks for the humor, we need more humor (like cow bells). Random thoughts… 1) I can’t wait to see Chad at a conference and call him big dog… 2) “Unnecessarily peculiar and odd” -as a newbie to the URC Church I’d have to agree, but on second glance it validates our position relative to our world. It’s really a compliment. 3) Upspeak? Hysterical, drives me nuts too. I enjoy southern gospel music, and bluegrass gospel. Imagine the horror discovering an upspeaker with a southern accent! I’m reserving this to torture Dr. Clark in the future… hah! 4) I am relieved to hear Chad’s comments on discovering the reformed confessions – I too was wondering where this has been all my life! When my wife and I were being examined by our elders for membership inclusion I told them this church, with the catechism was not easy to find. They didn’t understand what I was talking about. They were all raised in the reformed tradition and didn’t realize how spoiled they were! 5) Evangelize everywhere? Sounds so much like Rev. Paul Murphy from NYC, he needs to be on this webcast.
Thanks for this episode, and letting me witness what it’s like to be in the “pastor’s study” for an hour. But I still think there was some alcohol consumed before recording.. 😂
