I was especially interested in your comments about burning the wooden shoes.
There’s an excellent article in the Outlook magazine for March/April 2025, “Why the URCNA left the CRCNA” by Mr. Joseph Dick, that explains the rise of a false hermeneutic in Calvin seminary. So obviously the issue was much deeper than burning the wooden shoes(as I’m sure you both know) and it has had a devastating effect on the Christian Reformed Church.
Many in the CRC and URC are not aware of the history of both churches.
