R.Scott Clark is the President of the Heidelberg Reformation Association, the author and editor of, and contributor to several books and the author of many articles. He has taught church history and historical theology since 1997 at Westminster Seminary California. He has also taught at Wheaton College, Reformed Theological Seminary, and Concordia University. He has hosted the Heidelblog since 2007.

A big mouth doesn’t make somebody enlightened or tough. Everybody is tough until they get punched in the face. At that point, they become a little more enlightened and begin to appreciate the restraint that the rest of America has been exercising.
Recently, we talked about the second amendment. Leftists want our guns, especially our “assault rifles.” We also see that they want to take another assault weapon from us: free speech and freedom of religion.
Sounds scary! Better ban it before it hurts someone! Along with our guns, we can bury our Bibles in the ground like Chinese Christians did during Mao’s reign of terror.
