It Was A Slippery Slope

…I was quick to smack down fears that churches would be forced to perform same sex marriages, or that people would be punished for not being made to agree. I deemed these wildly hypothetical fantasies.

But I was wrong.

…I apologize for thinking this was about only equal treatment under the law. I apologize for dismissing conservatives’ fears that this slippery slope would lead to de facto banishment from various sectors of the public square.

I thought people just wanted to be left alone. I was wrong.

For many, they wanted forced conversions.

As such, it’s only fair we ask where it ends.

  1. The tipping point will be the first time any church or denomination roughly associated with orthodoxy gets into a fight for its 501c3 status.

  2. Kaliner: “where does it end?”

    Not here:

Once a small aberrant pinpoint on a map, the ‘politically correct’ Progressive Castro District is free to ‘normalize’ and spread its sicknesses in the name of politically correct diversity, gay rights, tolerance, and progress. Illustrating the growing fascination for Castro District’s sicknesses, The Village Voice announced a cultural milestone:

“This week (March 2-3, 2000) New York University hosts a conference to celebrate Dennis Cooper, the 47-year-old writer who has come closer than anyone to reanimating the spirit of Burroughs.” A homosexual pedophile, Coopers’ “two great themes are murder and rimming…A dedicated young following — of both sexes and all sexualities — has honed in on Cooper, and his name keeps popping up on the pomo pedagogy circuit.” “Every work of Cooper’s ‘produces a minor insurrection on several levels’….his work is as dangerous and exhilarating as Madame Bovary (though) in Cooper’s case, the object of forbidden desire is…a drugged-out, dissociated boy — the kind of kid who could get picked up on a freeway, taken to some basement, raped, and disemboweled.” (Strange Fire: The Invasion of Pagan Spirituality, SCP Journal, Vol. 25:2-26:1 2002)

Or here in any of the following:

The Southern Decadence Festival is one of our nation’s most notorious celebrations of sodomy, public sex acts, prostitution, drunkenness, and worse, but is by no means the only such festival. According to this year’s Autumn Gay Pride Calendar, decadence festivals are held over and across post-Christian America and Western Europe as well as in Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand, Brazil, Belarus, Ireland, Japan, Scotland, China, S. Africa, India and Taipei. (source: http://gaytravel.about.com/od/gaypridecalendars/qt/September_Pride.htm )

Writing in “Judaism’s Sexual Revolution: Why Judaism And Then Christianity Rejected Homosexuality,” Dennis Prager said,

‘…..Human sexuality, especially male sexuality…..is utterly wild. Men have had sex with women…..men….little girls and young boys….a single partner…large groups….immediate family members…animals….inanimate objects….by dressing in women’s garments…..through urinating and defecating on each other….by watching other humans be tortured…..by fondling children….by looking at pictures of bodies or parts of bodies. Not all have been condoned…..but many have, and all illustrate what the unchannelled sex drive can lead to.”

In an article entitled, “Hundred Years of Pedophilia,” Olavo de Carvalho warns of “politically correct” evils yet to come:

“In Greece and in the Roman Empire, the use of minors for the sexual satisfaction of adults was a tolerated and even prized costume.(sic) In China, castrating young boys to sell them to rich pederasts was legitimate commerce during millennia. In the Islamic world, the rigid morals that ordain the relationships between men and women was not rarely compensated by the tolerance with homosexual pedophilia. In some countries this lasted all least until the beginning of the 20th century, making Algeria, for example, a garden of delights for depraved travelers (read the memoirs of André Gide, “Si le grain ne meurt”). ….In all the places where the practice of pedophilia receded, it was the influence of Christianism — practically alone — that freed the children from this awful rule. …..But this had a price. It is as if an undercurrent of hate and resentment had gone through two millennia of history, waiting for the moment of revenge. This moment has arrived. ” (olavodecarvalho.org)

In a 2003 book, “Sex Related Homicide And Death Investigation,” Vernon Geberth, (ret. NYPD lieutenant commander Bronx Homicide) observed that,

“….sex related cases I am encountering today (as a consultant) are more frequent, vicious, and despicable than I ever experienced as a homicide cop…..There are more serial killers today…..”

Geberth provides an example of a typical sexual sadist. In his own words the sadist recounts his arrival in Denver:

“When I got to Denver there were a lot of sex shops….I found bondage magazines and videos….of women and young girls tied, bound, and gagged in just about every way possible. I was in heaven. I bought lots of magazines and videos. After a year or so……I wanted the real thing……I didn’t want a willing partner (though)…..I began to walk the streets…….looking for the right woman or girl…..” (pp. 44-45)

    And then there’s this:

“……the suspect……was a fetish burglar……(he) acted out his most perverse fantasies with her body…..(the) suspect made….1-900 sex-line phone calls….day and night from the victim’s residence……..he brought porn magazines into the scene………he engaged in sadistic sexual activities with the victim’s body.” (pp. 16-17)

Geberth recounts case after brutally horrible case wherein the most unspeakable evils are perpetrated upon women, boys, and girls before their lives are snuffed out as if of no further importance.

In an address, “Pornography, Depicted Violence, And Crime,” given by Richard M. Reade, Prosecutor, State of Victoria (Aus.) on Mar. 16, 1991, Reade said,

“In my opinion…… the serious problem our community faces (is) a result of porn…..made freely available…” (The Link Between Pornography and Violent Crimes, Robert Peters, Free Republic, Mar. 2004)

Reade describes in graphic, horrifying details, a sadistically brutal attack upon a 31 year old woman. On being arrested the sadist said,

“I have been reading books on bondage and I felt a strong urge to act out what was in the books……I knew it was wrong but couldn’t help myself……It’s those bondage books……those rotten books!” (ibid)

Geberth had this to say about sexual fantasies, and how they can become aberrant,

“….development of bizarre sexual images involving grotesque unnatural distortions of sexual imagery….is reinforced through repetition, illustrated by the use of sadistic porn and fantasy stories…..(of) sexual sadism.” He added, “Sadistic fantasies…..may involve activities that indicate…dominance…over the victim……This case involved Cameron Hooker……(his) fantasy was to dominate and torture nude women……his fantasies were fueled by an extensive collection of hard-core porn…” (pp. 23 and 741)

Watch Right Internet Crimes Against Children is an extensive collection of law enforcement agencies, weblogs, and informational sites dedicated to tracking and apprehending sex criminals in the hope of preventing sex crimes against children. Scores of crimes are listed on their website and updated daily. Here is one example:

“39 arrested in NJ for child porn distribution. Those arrested range in age from 14-61 and include a high-school coach, hockey coach, a lawyer, and a pediatric surgeon.”

If bondage, sado-masochism, sodomy, prostitution, and decadence in general are constitutionally protected rights in our culture, then why not sex slavery and other forms of bondage?

“The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency estimates that 50,000 people are trafficked into or transited through the U.S.A. annually as sex slaves, domestics, garment, and agricultural slaves.” (Human Trafficking & Modern-day Slavery http://www.gvnet.com/humantrafficking/USA.htm

In his book, “The American Sex Revolution,” Pitirim Sorokin tells us where Americas’ sexual anarchy will end:

“Sexual anarchy assumed extreme forms and spread through a large part of the population. Side by side with an increase of sexual perversions, a shameless sexual promiscuity also greatly increased. They seduced members of the same family. Relations between father and daughter…..son and mother…….Adultery, rape……prostitution greatly increased………homosexual love entered the mores of the population……all the aberrations of morbid eroticism……..unnatural relations, flagellations, and sodomy.” (p. 93)

Sorokin was contrasting sexually emancipated “politically correct” America with the morally depraved, sexually decadent social conditions in the Old Kingdom of Egypt 4,500 years ago just prior to its collapse. In this light, sexual anarchy, “gay” emancipation, slavery and Decadence Festivals are not signs of something good but of something really, really sick, twisted and rotten. Post-Christian America and the West are not going forward but quickly backsliding to an earlier and vastly lower level of intelligence and wickedness— ominous signs of the evil sweeping over and across America, and evil is nothing,

“…..but a privation of good, which can continue to the point where a thing ceases to exist altogether.” St. Augustine
