A really edifying exhortation by Dr. Godfrey…
“When the “word of Christ” dwells in us richly, we will be led on to lives of gratitude. As we learn and contemplate all that God has done for us in creation, providence, and redemption, we will be filled with thanksgiving. As we recall His promises of forgiveness, renewal, preservation, and glory, we will live as a truly thankful people.”
We need not drum up thankfulness. It flows from apprehending of what God has graciously accomplished for us in Christ… in creation, providence, redemption, and the blessed hope of life everlasting.
