  1. So is there much theology on how sport get away with the apparently blatant violation of the 8th commandment? (noticed Hart mentioned that one in addition to the 4th when blogging about Blue laws. ha. ha.)

    • Everyone on sports talk radio seems to know that the NFL would be toast without gambling. Some of it is legal, some of it isn’t. But whatever the magistrate says, the eighth commandment seems to teach otherwise.

      • Oh. That’s different from what I thought. When I read what you wrote originally, I imagined this allusion was being made in light of the common necessity (in order to win) of stealing balls or bases or what not during the sports game. It’s funny either way.
