R.Scott Clark is the President of the Heidelberg Reformation Association, the author and editor of, and contributor to several books and the author of many articles. He has taught church history and historical theology since 1997 at Westminster Seminary California. He has also taught at Wheaton College, Reformed Theological Seminary, and Concordia University. He has hosted the Heidelblog since 2007.

May I say that I’ll see his ambivalence and raise him some doubts? I guess I am never sure what to make of such assessments from those who say they “owe everything, almost all my theology” to evangelicals versus the confessional Protestants.

Perhaps it makes a difference that what Carl owes to evangelicals was worked out in the United Kingdom.
One thing Carl Trueman did not comment upon but maybe should have–there are a handful of “leaders” at the forefront of this “Reformed Revival” with next to nothing in terms of formal theological training. I fail to see how a seminary education is considered very important for the local church Pastor but not necessary for a Reformed “minister” preaching to a national audiance.
