WSC Library Renovation

Ed and Deb Wierenga and several others have turned the WSC library on its head. The reference room bookcases are gone and brand new ones are being installed as I write. New tile and carpet are coming. The periodical room and atrium are also being redone top to bottom. We’re grateful to Ed and Deb for their hard work in making the new shelving in Michigan, driving it out, staining, and installing it this summer. We’re also thankful to our donors who made a gifts so we could do this work over the summer. New students arriving for summer Greek (late July) and returning students will be in for pleasant surprises.

Well, I guess it won’t be a total surprise now but it will be a more pleasant place to study.

  1. Hi J. T.

No, James went back to Minn. Elizabeth Mehne is our library director, though she is leaving us at the end of the summer to go with Gideon to Yale. We’re searching for a new library director right now.

  2. And let me thank the library for having a restroom. When I visted the bookstore last year, I was directed to the Library. This allowed me to shop without panic, and I may have bought an extra book because of it. Kudos to Westminster West for not overlooking the small things.
