There Is No Place Like Nebraska

If you haven’t seen this, you should. It was an unusual and special moment in the Nebraska Spring game this past Saturday. That little running back is 7-year old Jack Hoffman. He’s a pediatric cancer patient who ran for 69 yards and a touchdown Saturday. You can learn more here.

  1. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (that is pretty dumb, right there) seem to be letting their opponents win every night.

    Now, that’s a team with a heart. They can’t hit…but they’ve got real heart.

Reminds me of a classy gesture I once saw in a women’s (college?) basketball game, where an important player was just shy of a scoring record but had gotten injured, so at the beginning of the game the opposing team stood by to allow her a layup to get the last 2 pts she needed (and the other team was allowed their own free basket as well)
