Okay so it’s not Machen’s blue serge suit (WWMW) but this isn’t 1936 either. The Bookstore at WSC carries hoodies, a fleece, long-sleeve Ts, polos, hats, and beanies. These are nice gifts for WSC students, alumni, and supporters. We’ve got 800 or so alumni scattered across the globe who should all be wearing WSC gear on their day off.
Dr. Joe Hall interviewed CVT in the early 1980s. Most of the interview focused on Machen. At one point in the interview, Van Til recounts how everyone always commented on how sharp Machen always looked, even though it was the same suit they always saw him in. Van Til’s punch line was that when Machen died, it was discovered that he had multiple copies of that same suit!
