<video:title><![CDATA[Wolfe vs. Gordon: A Critical Conversation On Christian Nationalism]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[In today’s episode, Rev. Gordon invites Stephen Wolfe to the show. Stephen is the author of the controversial and often criticized book, The Case For Christian Nationalism. He has gained a substantial following on social media for his frank and sometimes harsh statements, and has received criticism for his opinions by many in the Reformed community. Stephen’s name was mentioned during the AGR interview with Doug Wilson and Jared Longshore and this interview is Stephen and Chris’s opportunity to clear the air and attempt to gain a mutual understanding of each other’s viewpoints. The discussion covers kinism, race, and Stephen's view of what a Christian nation should look like, and the role the civil magistrate should play in it. They talk about the difference between being earthly-minded and heavenly-minded and how Christians are to balance the two as we sojourn through the wilderness. Don’t miss this important conversation that works toward open communication and the glorification of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

The emergence of the Young, Restless, and Reformed in the late 1990s and 2000s didn't come out of nowhere. Most were known by their rhetorical power, calvinistic soteriology, and movement-building prowess. But they've all got a spiritual father, a Patriarch, if you will.

Maybe you listened to the 2021 podcast series "The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill," and wondered, "Where did Driscoll come from?" Well, he took what Doug Wilson had written, and preached it. Driscoll appealed to men like never before, with an in-your-face message, that beat you up and left you satisfied, longing for more. Many others have followed in his wake, but like all modern philosophers to Plato, they're simply building on Wilson.

Listen in as we talk with Nick Gier, Professor Emeritus at the University of Idaho (Doug's former professor), and Russell Moore, Editor in Chief at Christianity Today, about Doug's beginnings, those whom he's influenced, and where they see this going.

<video:title><![CDATA[Continuing Revelation - Part 1]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[Dr. R. Scott Clark argues that the quest for "continuing revelation"—direct messages from God outside of the Bible—is directly correlated with a lack of biblical knowledge. Many are seeking a "concierge religion," desiring personal, immediate answers to life's specific questions (such as whom to marry or what job to take) because they feel entitled to direct divine guidance. This search for extra-biblical revelation often stems from being too impatient or busy to "labor through" and study the scriptures, which are entirely sufficient for everything needed in the Christian faith and life.

Mission Statement
Investigate & expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud, and other misconduct in both public and private institutions in order to achieve a more ethical & transparent society.

Core Values
MORAL COURAGE - Courage is the virtue that sustains all others. We choose to overcome our fears.

WE ARE ALL LEADERS - Turning people into leaders. Completed staff work. Ownership.

COLLABORATION - Best not to work in silos. No one individual is as smart as all of us.

RESILIENCE - Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. Never, ever, ever give up. We don't let mistakes or setbacks discourage us. Pursue perfection, knowing full well you will never attain it.

MISSION DRIVEN - The best people are motivated by purpose. We are passionate and truly believe in our cause. We must be externally focused, not internally focused.

MAKE THE STATUS QUO DO THE IMPOSSIBLE - We move mountains. Failure is not an option. We do whatever it takes.

THE TIP OF THE SPEAR - We are a loss leader. We do not shy away from conflict or litigation.

Ethical Values
Rule #1 – Truth is paramount. Our reporting is fact based with clear and irrefutable video and audio content. Truth is paramount. We never deceive our audience. We do not distort the facts or the context. We do not “selectively edit.”

Rule #2 – We do not break the law. We maintain one-party consent when recording someone is inherently moral and ethical. We never record when there is zero-party consent. In areas where we are required to have consent from all parties, we seek legal guidance regarding the expectation of privacy’s impact on our right to record.

<video:description><![CDATA[An intriguing book, quite unlike any other The Marrow of Modern Divinity defies pigeon–holing. It was written in the 1600s by an author of whom we know little, yet it proved to be a critically important and controversial theological text.
Penned as dialogue between a minister (Evangelista), a young Christian (Neophytus), a legalist (Nomista) who believes Christianity is a set of rules to be obeyed and Antinomista who thinks it’s okay to sin because God will forgive him anyway, it makes for a wonderfully insightful book that remains tremendously relevant for our world today.
This newly laid out and eagerly awaited edition includes explanatory notes by the famous puritan Thomas Boston, an introduction by Philip Ryken and an historical introduction by William Vandoodewaard.]]></video:description>

<video:title><![CDATA[Why a Confessional Church Plant in Lecce?]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[Pietra Vivente Church is the first confessional Reformed and Presbyterian church plant in Southern Italy!

In this video, the two MTW International Associate Missionaries, the Rev. Vincenzo Coluccia, and Judit Coluccia explain the importance of having a church plant in Lecce (Italy).

Lecce, commonly called "the Florence of the South," is the most important city of the Salentine Peninsula. Although Lecce's city counts about 100,000 inhabitants, the surrounding area is densely populated, and over a million people live within a radius of 40 miles.
However, the Protestant presence on the Salento peninsula is almost nonexistent.

In this business and psychological breakdown, we analyze the Lifetime Value (LTV) strategy of Bob Iger, the monetization of nostalgia, and the "Age Decompression" theory. How did Disney turn fandom into a consumer cult that prioritizes emotional spending over financial logic?

<video:description><![CDATA[In 2025, a woman spent $35,000 on a Disney vacation. She isn't a billionaire—she is a "Disney Adult." This video investigates how Disney spent 40 years engineering a generation of adults to treat a children's brand like a religion.
In this business and psychological breakdown, we analyze the Lifetime Value (LTV) strategy of Bob Iger, the monetization of nostalgia, and the "Age Decompression" theory. How did Disney turn fandom into a consumer cult that prioritizes emotional spending over financial logic?

<video:description><![CDATA[Rev. Schexnayder teaches on the relationship between the Law and the Gospel, showing how God’s Law confronts us with the truth about our sin—“through the law comes knowledge of sin” (Romans 3:20)—and reveals our deep need for grace. He points us to the Gospel, where Christ fulfills the Law perfectly on our behalf, bringing freedom to those enslaved by sin. Rather than a way to earn God’s favor, the Law functions as a mirror that exposes our need and a guide that continually leads us back to Christ.

Rev. David Schexnayder is the pastor of Providence OPC in Scottsdale, AZ and a Reformed Theological Seminary graduate. This service was hosted by Project Geneva, gathering young adults and church members for a night of worship, teaching, Q&A, and fellowship.

If you’re seeking to better understand how the Law shapes the Christian life, deepens our love for Christ, and leads us into joyful obedience marked by gratitude and freedom, this message will encourage and challenge you. Take a listen, be strengthened in your faith, and join us as we continue to grow together in our understanding of God’s Word.

<video:description><![CDATA[In this video, Shane Rosenthal, host of The Humble Skeptic podcast explores the archaeological dig site at El-Araj on the north shore of the Sea of Galilee and talks with some of the archaeologists working there. Could this be the true location of biblical Bethsaida, where Jesus performed many “mighty works”? What kinds of artifacts have been discovered at this site, and how can Bethsaida’s unique history help us to better appreciate the accuracy, reliability, and early Jewish character of the New Testament Gospels? Watch this video to find out!

<video:description><![CDATA[Rev. Chris Gordon, Rev. Dr. Daniel Borvan, and Rev. Adam Kaloostian discuss the historical and theological development of the pastoral office, tracing its evolution from the biblical model of a humble, serving presbuteros and episkopos to the centralized authority of the Pope and now the “Super-Pastor”. The hosts contrast this historical overreach with the Reformation's recovery of the local pastor's essential role: a minister who is accountable to the elders, serves the congregation in trials and tribulations, and faithfully catechizes the youth. They warn against the modern phenomena of "Big Eva" and the rise of the "Gig Eva" pastor who eschew biblical church government and personal pastoral care for public speaking and wider influence, ultimately urging listeners to recognize the true greatness in the humble, effective ministry of the local church.

<video:title><![CDATA[The Heidelberg Catechism: Theology, Piety & Practice with Dr. R. Scott Clark]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[Rev. Chris Gordon welcomes his dear friend, Dr. R. Scott Clark, to the studio to discuss Dr. Clark's new book, The Heidelberg Catechism: A Historical, Theological, Pastoral Commentary. The book reflects on the catechism’s theology, piety, and practice and offers commentary on all 129 questions, structured around the themes of guilt, grace, and gratitude.

Dr. Clark, who is completing his 29th and final year teaching at Westminster Seminary California, discusses the motivation and threefold goal (Historical, Theological, and Pastoral) of his new work. He explains the historical context, including the role of David Pareus in compiling the lectures of Zacharias Ursinus, and the importance of the catechism in the context of the Peace of Augsburg. The theological aspect of the book addresses contemporary confusion, such as Pelagian-leaning talk of faith and works, while the pastoral aspect focuses on practical implications and the promises of the gospel.

The conversation highlights why this catechism has stood the test of time, its unique beginning ("What is your only comfort in life and death?"), and its clear teaching on Christian life, prayer, and the Ten Commandments. They also discuss specific, controversial questions like Q/A 80 on the Lord’s Supper and the "Poppish Mass", and a recent announcement from the Vatican regarding titles for Mary.

<video:title><![CDATA[The Second Blast of the Trumpet Against Women’s Ordination #church #femalepastor]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[In this critical episode, Rev. Chris Gordon and Rev. Dr. Dan Borvan engage in a robust, biblical discussion on the Ordination of Women in the Church. They explore the common argument that rejecting the ordination of women suggests they are of less value, countering that value is not based on being called to office or being identical to men.

Drawing heavily from Scripture, including 1 Timothy 2 and 1 Corinthians 14, the pastors argue that Christ ordained a particular church government with distinct roles for men and women rooted in the order of creation. They discuss how the move toward women's ordination represents a slippery slope from Reformed to Evangelical to Liberal theology.. The conversation also addresses the importance of Servant Leadership for men, the distinct, God-given role of women as nurturers (Titus 2), and the problem of "weak" men creating confusion. They conclude by emphasizing the positive, essential roles for women in the church,

<video:title><![CDATA[Reformed Pastors Give a Primer on Covenant Theology]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[Host Rev. Chris Gordon and guest Rev. Michael Brown unpack the fundamentals of Covenant Theology. They explore how God consistently interacts with humanity through covenants, starting with the Covenant of Works with Adam. The episode meticulously traces the devastating consequences of Adam's broken covenant—guilt, death, and suffering—through scripture and the different administrations of the various covenants (Adamic, Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic…)

The conversation includes the Law/Gospel distinction and the emphasis that every human being has a personal relationship with God, either through the covenant of works or the Covenant of Grace, and present the powerful image of Christ's righteousness covering us, just as God covered Adam with animal skins. Chris Gordon and Pastor Peter Holtvlüwer in a discussion about Peter’s new Book series “Christ’s Psalms, Our Psalms” which showshow each psalm reveals the Saviour Jesus Christ demonstrating the importance of the Psalter in our worship. They explore the historical shift from the use of the almost exclusive use of the Psalter for the first 1800 years of the church to what we have today in modern hymns and contemporary worship music. They make a compelling case for the primacy of the Psalms in Christian worship, arguing that they provide a full range of human emotions, are Christ-centered, and ensure that the congregation is singing the inspired Word of God. The pastors also address difficult passages in the Psalms, the role of instrumentation, and the historical reasons behind the church's move away from them.

<video:title><![CDATA[Is The Doctrine of Election Biblical?]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[Rev. Chris Gordon and Rev. Dr. Dan Borvan tackle a difficult and often misunderstood theological topic: God’s sovereignty in election. They address common objections, like the idea that election is “not fair,” and contrast Reformed theology with Arminianism, which they argue is based on a humanistic view of man. The discussion delves into key biblical passages like Romans 9 and Isaiah 64 and explores the historical context of the Canons of Dort. The pastors emphasize a proper biblical view of humanity as fallen and unable to choose good on its own. They conclude by asserting that election is a truth that requires faith, not just human reason, and is proven by the manifestation of faith in a person’s life.

<video:description><![CDATA[In this episode, Rev. Chris Gordon, Rev. Dr. Dan Borvan, and Dr. Jim Cassidy tackle the pressing question: Is Reformed Christianity dying in America? They dive into the challenges of maintaining a confessional Reformed identity in today's American context, where Calvinism is often misunderstood or excluded from common perceptions of Christianity. The discussion explores how America's individualistic spirit and rebellious foundations impact the reception of Reformed theology and practices, which can often be unfamiliar to outsiders. The speakers emphasize that the Reformed church is not dying, highlighting the simple, yet profound, calling of preachers to faithfully administer the sacraments, preach Christ, and open the Word of God. They caution against "creative" innovations that could undermine the Reformed tradition, asserting that the greatest threat to the Reformed church comes from within.

Video Episode 3: “Law & Gospel”
Hosts: Pastor Mike Abendroth (Pastor & Author)
Special Guest: N/A
Produced/Edited By: Marrio Escobar (Owner of D2L Productions)

In this episode of “No Compromise Radio” Pastor Mike Abendroth delves into the essential distinction between Law and Gospel, breaking down its theological significance and practical application for believers. Using insights from his new book “Law & Gospel: A Primer”, Mike explains how the Law reveals sin, restrains evil, and guides believers, while the Gospel proclaims the finished work of Christ. He highlights the dangers of conflating the two, discusses assurance of salvation, and critiques heavy-handed preaching that burdens rather than frees. With humor, personal anecdotes, and pastoral wisdom, Mike also explores how this framework impacts parenting, evangelism, and daily Christian living. If you've ever struggled with assurance or wondered how Law and Gospel function in your faith, this episode is a must-listen.

<video:title><![CDATA[Controversy: 'Hot-Take Theology', Watchdogs & Trolls]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[In this episode, Rev. Chris Gordon and Rev. Dr. Dan Borvan tackle the pervasive issue of controversy within Christian circles. They discuss the rise of 'hot take theology' mentalities, exemplified by figures like Joel Webbon, and the dangers of mistaking attention-seeking for 'bold Christianity.' The conversation delves into the detrimental effects of anonymous online attacks, citing the Josh Buice situation as a stark example. They emphasize the biblical importance of face-to-face confrontation, character in pastoral ministry, and the slow, deliberate process of church discipline, contrasting it with society's demand for immediate justice. The pastors also examine the role of 'watchdogs,' the perils of platforming controversial figures like Corey Mahler, and the ultimate futility of chasing headlines over the evergreen truths of the Gospel and the ordinary means of grace. The episode concludes with a powerful call to appreciate faithful pastors who quietly labor for the Kingdom.

<video:title><![CDATA[Harrison Perkins | Righteous by Design and Created for Communion]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[In this rich theological conversation, Camden Bucey welcomes Dr. Harrison Perkins—pastor, scholar, and author—to discuss his two latest books: Righteous by Design: Covenantal Merit and Adam’s Original Integrity (Christian Focus) and Created for Communion with God: The Promise of Genesis 1–2 (Lexham Press). Together, they explore foundational Reformed doctrines related to covenant theology, the image of God, and the eschatological purpose embedded in creation itself.

Dr. Perkins offers historical and systematic clarity on the oft-debated notion of merit in the covenant of works, contrasting Reformed and Roman Catholic anthropologies. He also unpacks the pastoral dimensions of humanity’s creation for communion with God, showing how Genesis 1–2 serves not merely as a record of origins, but as a divine love letter calling God’s people into eternal fellowship.

Whether you’re a pastor, scholar, or thoughtful layperson, this episode provides deep insight into how theology—rooted in Scripture and the Reformed tradition—shapes our understanding of God, humanity, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

<video:title><![CDATA[Guilt, Grace, Gratitude: A Reformed Look at Hebrews]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[Join Rev. Chris Gordon (Escondido URC, Westminster Seminary Graduate) and Dr. Steve Baugh (Professor Emeritus, Westminster Seminary California) as they delve into the Book of Hebrews. They discuss the central theme: the call for persevering faith in Christ alone. Dr. Baugh explains how Hebrews addresses attempts to add to the gospel, particularly concerning Christ's sacrifice, arguing that adding anything—like ancient animal sacrifices or even later concepts like the Mass as sacrifice or Purgatory—constitutes apostasy, a rejection of Christ's completed work. Rev. Gordon emphasizes the pastoral nature of Hebrews and how even modern evangelicals can be guilty of adding to the cross. They explore the book's stern pastoral warnings, drawing parallels like Judas and Esau, not to cause despair, but to highlight the danger of unbelief and the need for endurance. The discussion touches on how Reformed theology, particularly the structure of Guilt, Grace, and Gratitude, is influenced by Hebrews. Ultimately, they find that Hebrews, while containing warnings, is a book of hope and assurance, grounding believers firmly in the sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice and God's sworn oath, not in the believer's own efforts or repentance.

Chapters:
00:00:00 - Introduction
00:04:50 - Objective of Hebrews: Persevering Faith
00:21:40 - Pastoral Warnings in Hebrews
00:28:18 - The Core Issue is Unbelief

<video:description><![CDATA[Join Rev. Chris Gordon and Dr. Steve Baugh (Professor Emeritus, Westminster Seminary California) for an insightful discussion on the Gospel of Matthew. They delve into the central theme of Jesus as the "Compassionate King," exploring how his mission wasn't just about physical healing but fundamentally about saving people from sin. The conversation examines key passages like the encounter with the Canaanite woman, the Beatitudes, and the Great Commission, tackling challenging concepts such as the difficulty of discipleship, the relationship between the Old and New Testaments, legalism versus antinomianism, and the authority of Christ. Discover why Matthew presents a demanding yet grace-filled call to follow Jesus, the Lord of the law and the Sabbath.

<video:title><![CDATA[Why Are The Reformed So Weird?]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[Are Reformed churches and their members a little on the odd side? Pastor Chris Gordon, Pastor Chad Vegas, and Dr. R. Scott Clark pull up a seat at the AGR table to explore why Reformers are sometimes seen as peculiar—and whether that’s a good or a bad thing.

They dive into the formal nature of Reformed worship, examining elements like liturgy, the reading of the Law, and the role of worship music—practices that can seem off-putting to outsiders. They look deeper into why doctrine matters so much and how the way we worship in song reflects our theology.

The discussion also unpacks why the Reformed tradition emphasizes feeding the flock with solid teaching—meat, not milk—and how this fuels the church’s mission. They explore the importance of making newcomers feel welcomed and informed while staying faithful to the historic convictions of the Reformed faith.

<video:title><![CDATA[Is California Under Judgment? A Discussion on The Wildfires and Man's Fallenness]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[Just as we released an episode on the challenges of preaching in the morally and politically embattled state of California, a series of sudden wildfires erupted, quickly escalating into dozens of blazes that engulfed various parts of the state.
In this episode, Dan and Chris return to the mic to reflect on the physical and emotional toll of the devastation, analyze what may have gone wrong, and examine the belief some have that these fires are a manifestation of divine judgment.
As fire crews continue to battle the flames, and victims begin to deal with the loss, Chris and Dan discuss the message believers can bring during times of hardship. They challenge Christians to examine their own hearts and consider how to spiritually prepare for the inevitable storms that life in the wilderness will bring. They express the need to pray that those affected begin to heal and turn to Christ for hope and restoration.
