Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
for he has visited and redeemed his people
and has raised up a horn of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David,
as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,
that we should be saved from our enemies
and from the hand of all who hate us;
to show the mercy promised to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant,
the oath that he swore to our father Abraham, to grant us
that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
might serve him without fear,
in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.

Merry Christmas Doc. Thanks for the Heidelblog. Always awesome stuff being posted here. But most importantly thank you for opening the door to study the reformed confessions. It’s getting tough out there for Christian and not have the confession helped me stand firm but the article posted here have really lifted me up during some super tough times. I have some saved on my phone that I go back to sometimes just to remind me to stand strong because I have a great shepherd who died, was buried, and rose for me. Who is with me and who is right now praying for me. Thanks Doc. God bless you!
