The Jews distinguished between the Law, the Prophets, and the Writings. What they called “the Law,” is called by biblical scholars the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy.
Dr. Michael Morales is Professor of Biblical Studies at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and a teaching elder in the PCA. He has previous served as Chair of Biblical Studies and professor of Old Testament and Great Works at Reformation Bible College, Associate Pastor at Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA), Stuart, Fla. Mike and his wife Elise have four boys. He was on campus recently to talk with us about “The Theology of the Camp of Israel: Numbers 1–6” and what it teaches us about how God relates to his church.
